Additional system requirements to operate as a testing center:
The NCS/VUE testing system can run on a Local Area Network (LAN)
configuration.
If operating two or more testing stations a separate administrator's station is required
(which need not be dedicated to the VUE application). All of the computers must be part of
a LAN. The NCS/VUE applications initially require about two gigabytes of shared storage
for software, exams, and registration authorizations.
Internet Access
The administrator station must have access to the Internet at speeds equivalent to 28,800
baud (or faster). This may be achieved via a dedicated modem on the administrators'
station, access to a modem pool on the network, or access to a dedicated Internet
connection.
Printer
Administrator and testing stations must have access to an ink jet or laser jet printer.
