Instructional Support Services

A2) CAI – Standalone

SOLO – This service includes an Intel or Mac PC Workstation, SOLO curriculum software from Computer Curriculum Corporation, software support and centralized training. Hardware maintenance and software updates are "as billed." This service is only partially aidable.

Cost:

A3) Instructional Shared Area Network Support (LAN)

The cost of the service includes support of the network, training or retraining on the operation of the network, user meetings, a modem, access to Internet and email and hot line technical support. Instruction software is provided on this platform. Contact the NERIC for pricing on configurations with software packages. Network provided service implies the ability to support the LAN via the NERIC wide area network.

Cost includes workshops, software preview library, software discounts, hotline, meetings, and technical assistance. Some workshops may have additional charges for materials.

Guidance Services

    Each of the following services include:

1. Installation and set up of the microcomputer system.
2. One half day of on-site training and/or centralized training for counselors and staff.
3. Phone support and on-site assistance if hardware or software problems are encountered.
4. User meetings at the NERIC.
5. Access to group purchases of additional material.

The prices below are per pupil prices for scoring tests and providing the standard package of reports for the test type.

The above charges for the DAT and TCS Tests include scanning and preparation of the information on tape for forwarding to the publisher only.

Additional Charges:

• Please add $0.17 to Riverside Tests for Standard Achievement Tests and Standard Ability Tests to cover higher forms royalty cost.

Additional charge for capture of student demographic data:

• Provided on paper forms: $0.35 per student
• Provided on computer tape or IBM format disk: $0.23 per student
• DDP I and DDP II sites providing data on tape or disk are exempt.

C4) Tax Billing

Pricing is based upon a sliding scale that reflects a decreasing per item/parcel cost as the number of items/parcels processed increases.   The scale is as follows:

In addition to the per parcel charge, there is a yearly software licensing fee of $1,000 associated with this service.  The fee is independent of the number of parcels being processed and entitles customers of the service to both use the software and to automatically receive the latest modifications and enhancements made to it.

Collection services are available upon request and are priced at .25 per payment collected.

Note: A basic service option is offered for EMAP application support. This option includes only 2 days on-site support per year, and no additional training.
